Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals (GACL) has approved forming a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) with Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) for a 60 MW Renewable Energy project. This strategic initiative will secure captive green power for GACL's operations, boosting sustainability and operational efficiency. Initially, GACL will hold 49% equity in the SPV, with GMDC holding 51%. Following the selection of a Renewable Energy Developer, GACL will maintain a minimum 26% equity stake, ensuring continued access to clean energy sources. This move aligns with GACL's green technology promotion.
