This profit was substantially boosted by a one-time income of ₹6.58 crore from an accounting adjustment related to extending the maturity of preference shares. Operationally, the company faced challenges with poor yarn demand and pricing disparity, leading to running only one unit on three shifts. Positively, power and fuel costs reduced to ₹1.44 crore due to self-consumption from its solar plant, with an additional 2MW plant installed. Management is also implementing cost-control and efficiency measures to improve profitability amidst market conditions.
