GIC Housing Finance reported mixed Q1 FY26 results. Sanctions grew 8% to Rs 450 Cr and Disbursements rose 7% to Rs 403 Cr, boosting the gross loan portfolio by 4%. However, profitability sharply declined. The company posted a Rs 20 Cr pre-tax loss, leading to Profit After Tax falling 79% to Rs 8 Cr. This was primarily driven by a 225% surge in NPA provisions and an 89% drop in other income. Gross NPAs increased to 4.74%, though net NPAs improved to 2.14%.
