Archean Chemical Industries Limited — Important, 12-08-2025: General Updates

Archean Chemical's subsidiary, SiCSem Private Limited, gained Union Cabinet approval to establish India's first commercial Silicon Carbide (SiC) compound semiconductor fab in Odisha. This significant step, in partnership with Clas-SiC Wafer Fab Ltd. (UK), involves an estimated investment of Rs. 2,067 Cr. The plant targets 60,000 wafer and 96 million unit packaging capacity annually. Its products will cater to high-growth sectors like defense, EVs, and solar, positioning Archean strongly in India's booming semiconductor landscape. This is part of a larger government push with total ISM investments reaching Rs. 160,000 Cr.
