New Delhi Television (NDTV) has provided an update on its ongoing tax litigation concerning the Assessment Year 2008-09. Following the Supreme Court's dismissal of its Special Leave Petition, NDTV filed an appeal with the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals), which is currently pending. Although an earlier request for a stay on the demand was rejected, the Principal Commissioner of Income Tax (Central) has now granted a stay on the recovery of this tax demand. This decision temporarily halts the financial obligation, reducing immediate cash flow pressure for the company while its appeal progresses towards final resolution.
