IndoStar Capital Finance has announced its Q1 FY26 consolidated results. The company reported a significant profit after tax of Rs 545.58 Cr, primarily driven by an exceptional gain of Rs 1,175.95 Cr from the strategic sale of its housing finance subsidiary, Niwas Housing Finance. This divestment was completed shortly after the quarter ended.
Operationally, the company undertook loan write-offs of Rs 161.09 Cr and made an additional provision of Rs 255.07 Cr on Security Receipts, signaling a focus on asset quality resolution. The board also approved a proposal to raise funds via eligible debt securities, which will be put to shareholders at the upcoming AGM. Mr. Binoy Parikh was appointed as the new Chief Compliance Officer.
