Singer India recently held its investor conference call to discuss the latest quarter's performance. The company reported a 4% decline in overall sewing machine revenue, largely due to a dip in the traditional segment. However, zigzag machines saw strong 38% growth. A significant 2.8 lakh machine order, valued at over 200 Cr, under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana has commenced deliveries despite a legal challenge. Appliance revenue fell 14% due to a short summer, but the company is strategically ramping up its fan portfolio with 68 new SKUs. Management views this quarter's revenue drop as temporary, expecting healthy double-digit growth in sewing machines and aiming for appliances to break-even, targeting 8-10% long-term EBITDA margins.
