Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) has announced its 75th Annual General Meeting on September 19. The company reported a standalone net profit of Rs 814.10 crore, its highest in 15 years, and consolidated profit of Rs 844 crore for the recent financial year. Revenue from operations increased to Rs 5,592.33 crore. A dividend of Rs 6.59 per share, the highest in 20 years, has been proposed for shareholder approval. Operationally, SCI plans further vessel acquisitions, including two Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGCs), with one already delivered. The strategic disinvestment and demerger of non-core assets are ongoing.
