Sumuka Agro Industries (SAIL) has received a key order from the NCLT regarding its merger with Gujjubhai Foods Private Limited (GFPL). The NCLT has directed meetings for equity shareholders of both companies to approve the scheme, while meetings for secured and unsecured creditors were waived due to prior consent. This merger aims to consolidate their packaged snack food businesses, driving operational synergies and efficiencies. Post-merger, SAIL plans to rename itself Gujjubhai Industries.
