Concord Control Systems Limited has developed India’s first fully indigenous Zero Emission Propulsion System for converting diesel locomotives. This breakthrough, largely designed and built in India, features Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries and a DC chopper-based drive. It operates only when needed, delivering significant fuel savings, higher efficiency, and zero emissions, crucial for India's 2030 net-zero and railway electrification goals. The system, retrofitted on a 700 HP platform and delivering 800A peak current, includes advanced safety and monitoring features, positioning Concord as a leader in sustainable, self-reliant rail technology.
