Adani Power is India's largest private thermal power producer, operating 18,150 MW of capacity. For FY25, Revenue was ₹58,906 Cr (-2% YoY) and EBITDA ₹24,008 Cr (+15% YoY), with PAT at ₹12,750 Cr (-39% YoY). Q1FY26 saw Revenue of ₹14,574 Cr, EBITDA of ₹6,150 Cr, and PAT of ₹3,305 Cr.
India's growing energy demand is a key driver, with the electricity sector expected to quadruple in two decades, necessitating 80 GW of additional coal-based capacity by FY32. Adani Power is well-positioned, with 88% of its current capacity under long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and a strong operational track record, including 91% plant availability and a 38% thermal power EBITDA margin.
The company has 23,720 MW of future projects locked-in, with 92% land and 100% critical equipment already secured, favoring faster brownfield execution. They are also pursuing new PPA bids for over 20 GW. Adani Power's financial strength is evident in its significantly improved Net Debt to Continuing EBITDA, down to 1.78x (June'25 TTM) from 9.75x (FY19). The company plans to self-fund a substantial ₹123k Cr capex over the next seven years from internal accruals (FY25 FFO: ₹20.5k Cr), capitalizing on India's surging energy requirements.
