Invade Agro Limited has launched an open offer to acquire up to 26% of Chambal Breweries and Distilleries Limited's equity shares at ₹6 per share, following a prior share purchase where it acquired 16.08% from existing promoters at ₹5.50 per share. The total consideration for the open offer is ₹1.16 Crore. Invade Agro seeks to reclassify as a promoter and take control. While the acquirer is in agriculture and the target previously in liquor, there are no immediate plans for major business changes, though diversification or a reverse merger are possibilities. Post-offer, Invade Agro will hold 42.08% of Chambal Breweries. The board's independent directors will provide their assessment of the offer to public shareholders.
