Hindustan Copper, India's sole integrated copper miner, delivered a strong FY24-25 with record performance. The company reported its highest ever Revenue from Operations at ₹2071 Cr, Profit Before Tax (PBT) of ₹634 Cr, and Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹469 Cr. Malanjkhand mine achieved a record 27.25 Lakh Tonne ore production, and the company declared its highest ever dividend of ₹141 Cr. Debt has been significantly reduced, now at ₹154.98 Cr as of June 2025.

HCL is aggressively pursuing growth, targeting a mine capacity expansion from 3.47 MTPA to 12.2 MTPA by FY30-31. Key strategies include expanding existing mines, enhancing concentrator capacity, and boosting exploration efforts, which added 123 million tonnes of resources in the last two years. Recent developments include the re-start of Surda mine operations, with Kendadih mine expected by December 2025 and Rakha mine by Q4 FY26.

Management sees strong future demand, driven by India's infrastructure, renewable energy, and EV initiatives. HCL plans a CapEx of ~₹2,000 Cr over the next 5-6 years, capitalizing on India's low per-capita copper consumption for sustained long-term growth.
