Fermenta Biotech's Board has approved the slump sale of its environment business to Fermenta Environment Solutions Private Limited (FESPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary. This strategic move, effective October 1, aims for specialized management and improved operational efficiency. The environment division contributed Rs. 22.20 Cr to turnover and Rs. 15.53 Cr to net worth for the last financial year. The company will receive Rs. 19 Cr as consideration. This internal transfer helps streamline operations and allocate resources more effectively without impacting the parent company's shareholding pattern.
