Power Grid (POWERGRID) has acquired 100% stake in Mandsaur I RE Transmission Limited (MIRETL) for ₹7.30 Cr. This strategic acquisition, secured via competitive bidding, aims to augment transformation capacity and implement line bays at the Mandsaur substation in Madhya Pradesh. This deal strengthens POWERGRID's core power transmission network, specifically boosting infrastructure for Renewable Energy (RE) interconnection. It expands the company's operational footprint, adding a key asset on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis, aligning with India's green energy push.
