Suraj Industries is launching a Rights Issue to raise up to ₹119.70 Cr. Shareholders can subscribe to 21 new partly paid-up shares for every 13 held, priced at ₹40 each. This capital infusion will fund key growth initiatives: ₹47.32 Cr for its subsidiary's distillery expansion, ₹14.99 Cr to set up a corrugated box and PET bottle manufacturing unit for backward integration, and ₹8.04 Cr to increase its stake in the subsidiary. The company will also use ₹7.20 Cr for loan repayment. The business has shifted focus entirely to liquor operations. For the recent quarter, total income was ₹14.45 Cr, but the company reported a net loss of ₹1.27 Cr. This issue aims to boost future profitability and operational efficiency.
