SpiceJet has received three new aircraft, including an Airbus A340 and two Boeing 737s, marking the start of its major winter expansion. The airline plans to induct a total of 20 new aircraft between October and November under a damp lease model, and unground four additional planes by mid-December. This strategic fleet ramp-up aims to significantly scale up operations, more than doubling its operational fleet size and tripling its available seat kilometers by December 2025. This expansion is designed to meet surging travel demand, open new routes, and increase flight frequencies, enhancing convenience and connectivity across its network.
