L&T Finance achieved a significant milestone in Q2FY26, with its Retail book crossing ₹1 lakh Cr, now at ₹1,04,607 Cr, marking an 18% year-on-year jump. The consolidated book reached ₹1,07,096 Cr, with retailisation at an impressive 98%. Retail disbursements surged 25% year-on-year to ₹18,883 Cr, driven notably by Personal Loans (+114% YoY) and Rural Business Finance (+16% YoY).

The company is strategically focused on its 'Lakshya 2026' goals, with 'Project Cyclops' now fully implemented for enhanced credit underwriting in Two-wheeler, Farm Equipment, and SME Finance. 'Project Nostradamus' is also in beta for Two-wheeler Finance, building towards a next-gen digital architecture. Recent developments include scaling Big Tech partnerships (Amazon, Google Pay, CRED, PhonePe) to ₹1,138 Cr in Q2FY26 and a planned expansion of 200+ new Gold Finance branches in FY26.

Consolidated PAT grew 6% year-on-year to ₹735 Cr. Return on Assets (RoA) was 2.41% and Return on Equity (RoE) 11.33%. Net Interest Margin plus Fees (NIMs+Fees) remained steady at 10.22%. Asset quality was robust with Net Stage 3 (NS3) at 1.00%. The Weighted Average Cost of Borrowing (WACB) reduced to 7.32%. Management anticipates credit costs to normalize in H2FY26 due to improved credit profiles.
