JSW Energy delivered strong consolidated financial results for the quarter and half-year. Net generation surged 52% year-on-year to 14.9 BUs, driven by a 42% increase in renewables and a 62% jump in thermal generation. Total operational capacity now stands at 13.2 GW. Revenue climbed 55% to ₹5,361 Cr, with EBITDA impressively jumping 67% to ₹3,180 Cr. Cash Profit After Tax (PAT) increased 27% to ₹1,512 Cr, though reported PAT saw a 17% dip to ₹705 Cr, with an EPS of ₹4.04.
The company is aggressively expanding, targeting 30 GW generation and 40 GWh energy storage by 2030, with 30.5 GW generation and 29.4 GWh storage already secured. Recent developments include adding 443 MW of organic renewable capacity, notably the 240 MW Kutehr Hydro plant. JSW Energy also secured water resources for its Mahanadi plant, is acquiring a boiler manufacturing business, and agreed to acquire the 150 MW Tidong Hydro project for approximately ₹1,728 Cr. Trial runs for its Green Hydrogen plant and commissioning of a Battery Assembly Plant are also underway, highlighting its focus on future-ready energy solutions. Net Debt to Equity stands at 2.1x.
