PNB's financial results for the quarter and half-year show strong performance. Net Profit increased 14.0% YoY to ₹4,904 Cr, with Operating Profit rising 5.5% to ₹7,227 Cr. Global Business expanded 10.6% YoY to ₹27.87 lakh Cr, driven by 10.9% growth in Deposits (₹16.17 lakh Cr) and 10.1% in Advances (₹11.70 lakh Cr). Retail, Agriculture, and MSME (RAM) advances were a key growth area, up 12.7% to ₹6.35 lakh Cr.
The bank is actively pushing digital transformation, launching the PNB One BIZ Corporate M-Banking App and new digital lending solutions. It's also at the forefront of CBDC implementation and enhancing customer/employee interaction with AI chatbots. A significant HR transformation project, "UDAAN," aims to boost workforce capability.
Asset quality significantly improved, with Gross NPA falling to 3.45% (down 103 bps YoY) and Net NPA to 0.36% (down 10 bps YoY). The Provision Coverage Ratio stands strong at 96.91%, and Return on Assets (ROA) reached 1.05%.
For FY26, the bank's outlook indicates credit growth of 11-12% and deposit growth of 9-10%, with goals to bring Gross NPA below 3% and maintain ROA above 1%. Plans are also in place to raise ₹8,000 Cr in capital, alongside accelerating green financing initiatives.
