Steel Authority of India Limited — PPTs, 29-10-2025: Investor Presentation
SAIL's financial results for the quarter and half-year show a strong H1 FY26. Turnover rose 8.3% YoY to Rs. 52,254 crore, and Profit After Tax jumped 31.7% YoY to Rs. 1,112 crore. Crude Steel and Saleable Steel production each reached 9.5 Million Tonnes, with total sales volumes also at 9.5 Million Tonnes. However, Q2 FY26 Profit After Tax of Rs. 427 crore saw a sequential decline from Q1 FY26 (Rs. 685 crore) and a YoY drop from Q2 FY25 (Rs. 834 crore).
The company continues to boost operational efficiency, evidenced by improved coke rates, blast furnace productivity, and specific energy consumption. A strategic focus on value-added products, comprising 57% of FY25 production, supports profitability. Manpower was reduced by 1,808 in H1 FY26, indicating cost optimization efforts.
Key metrics for H1 FY26 include an EPS of Rs. 2.69 and an EBITDA Margin of 11.01%. Debt-to-equity improved to 0.47 by September 2025.
Despite global steel demand challenges, India's robust economic growth and projected leading steel demand (8.0% in 2024, 8.5% in 2025) are significant tailwinds for SAIL.
