BPCL reported robust financial performance for the quarter and half-year ending September 2025. Profit After Tax for the quarter surged to ₹ 6,443 Cr, significantly up from ₹ 2,397 Cr year-on-year. For the half-year, PAT more than doubled to ₹ 12,566 Cr from ₹ 5,412 Cr.
A major driver was the Gross Refining Margin (GRM), which dramatically increased for BPCL to $10.78/bbl in Q2 2025 from $4.41/bbl in the prior year. The company also substantially reduced its debt position, bringing it down to ₹ 12,262 Cr from ₹ 21,529 Cr.
Operationally, refinery throughput saw a minor dip to 9.82 MMT for the quarter, but distillate yield improved to 85.12%. Domestic sales of petroleum products showed a slight increase to 12.67 MMT for the quarter. These results highlight strong profitability driven by improved refining margins and efficient financial management.
