Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals saw Q2 revenue broadly stable at ₹1,916 Cr, up 1.0% YoY, despite extended monsoons impacting cooling products. Profit before tax (adjusted) stood at ₹123 Cr, down 28.2% YoY, with margins at 6.4%, due to subdued sales and continued brand investments. Growth was strong in Pumps, Small Domestic Appliances (SDA), and Butterfly, with the latter up 14% YoY.

The company is strategically expanding its solar business, now a key growth engine, targeting ₹2,000 Cr revenue within 18-24 months. This includes scaling Solar Pumps and a robust debut in Solar Rooftop, securing orders worth ~₹500 Cr. Crompton is also focused on its 'Crompton 2.0' strategy, emphasizing innovation, premiumization, and Go-To-Market excellence.

Recent highlights include new product launches across categories and the Baroda plant restructuring to enhance efficiency and optimize costs, expected to pay back in under two years. The management anticipates improved consumer spending, supported by recent tax benefits and the festive season, especially in high-ticket durables.
