ARE&M reported H1 FY26 consolidated revenue of Rs 6,868.1 Cr, a 5.4% YoY increase, and Q2 revenue of Rs 3,467 Cr, up 6.7%. Q2 PAT rose 17.4% to Rs 276.5 Cr, largely aided by a Rs 121.8 Cr exceptional insurance claim. H1 PAT stood at Rs 441.3 Cr, down 9.0% YoY.

The Lead Acid Battery (LAB) segment grew ~5% in Q2, driven by robust OEM demand for 2W and 4W batteries, though exports were subdued. The New Energy Business (NEB) saw Q2 revenue of Rs 170 Cr, with healthy EV charger off-take and the commencement of 3W LFP battery pack supplies.

The company is actively investing in its New Energy vision with a Rs 9,500 Cr capex plan for a Giga Corridor in Telangana. Key developments include the Tubular Battery Plant commencing commercial production and the Giga-Cell Factory (Phase 1 of 2 GWh) beginning construction, targeting Q3/Q4-FY26 operations. Management is prioritizing scaling the pack business and building state-of-the-art NEB facilities, aiming for 16 GW cell capacity by FY30.
