Gujarat Themis Biosyn delivered a strong Q2 FY26, with top line growing 22% YoY to Rs. 42.3 Cr, driven by higher production and sales volumes. EBITDA surged 36.3% to Rs. 20.9 Cr, and Profit After Tax (PAT) jumped 35.3% to Rs. 14.3 Cr, with improved margins thanks to higher volumes and cost optimization.
The company is focused on capacity expansion, having more than doubled its fermentation capacity to 990 KL. A key strategy is forward integration into API production, with commercial operations recently starting at the new API unit, targeting export markets. R&D efforts are also underway to develop new molecules, with 4% of H1 revenue allocated to R&D.
GTBL completed the expansion of its new fermentation block in October 2025, already beginning commercial production of existing products Rifa-S and Rifa-O in the new unit. Additionally, the company issued 1 bonus share for every 2 equity shares held.
Q2 FY26 EPS stood at Rs. 1.31, marking a 35.05% increase YoY.
Management expressed satisfaction with the Q2 performance, attributing it to healthy market demand and strong delivery capabilities. The outlook emphasizes continued new product development, R&D focus, geographical diversification, and enhancing capacity to meet future growth, exploring both organic and inorganic opportunities in specialty chemicals.
