Balrampur Chini Mills saw a healthy Q2FY26 consolidated performance with revenue up 28.72% YoY to Rs. 1,670.76 crore. Profit Before Tax (PBT) rose to Rs. 79.85 crore. Both sugar (14.97% volume growth, 5.16% realization) and distillery (53% revenue growth to Rs. 405.01 crore) segments contributed strongly. Profitability also benefited from revised power tariffs.

The strategic Poly Lactic Acid (PLA) project is progressing well, with Rs. 1,093 crore invested. This 80,000 TPA plant, targeting Rs. 2,000 crore revenue, expects Q3FY27 commissioning and benefits from the UP Bioplastic Industrial Policy. Market development for PLA has begun.

The board announced an interim dividend of Rs. 3.50 per share.

Q2FY26 Consolidated Revenue: Rs. 1,670.76 Cr (+28.72% YoY). PBT: Rs. 79.85 Cr. Basic EPS: Rs. 2.67.

Management noted strong Q2 results despite seasonality, expecting a sugar production rebound. They seek timely ethanol price and sugar Minimum Sale Price revisions for sector sustainability. The company prioritizes sustainable value creation and operational efficiency, diversifying with the eco-friendly PLA project.
