Biocon reported strong financial results for the quarter, Q2 FY26. Total revenue grew 21% YoY to ₹4,389 Cr, with reported net profit at ₹85 Cr, a significant turnaround. Biosimilars revenue surged 25% YoY to ₹2,721 Cr, and Generics followed with a 24% YoY increase to ₹774 Cr, both driven by robust demand. CRDMO performance was in line with plans.

Strategically, Biocon strengthened its balance sheet by settling structured debt, anticipating ~₹300 Cr in annual interest savings from FY27. The company launched bUstekinumab, bAspart, bBevacizumab, and bAflibercept, secured US FDA approval for bDenosumab with an imminent US launch, and partnered with California for Insulin Glargine. Global filings for semaglutide (gOzempic) have commenced.

Management expects Generics performance to strengthen further in the second half from new product launches. Syngene is well-positioned for medium to long-term growth. Biocon anticipates continued profitability improvements and aims for sustainable long-term value for all stakeholders.
