Tata Steel posted strong financial results for the quarter and half-year, with consolidated revenue up 10% QoQ to Rs 58,689 Cr and profit (PAT) surging 58.6% QoQ to Rs 3,183 Cr. This performance was largely fueled by a significant 20% increase in domestic deliveries in India and higher volumes from the Netherlands, even as steel realisations moderated. UK operations continued to report negative EBITDA amidst market challenges.

Key growth strategies include scaling up in India, with the Kalinganagar expansion progressing and a 0.75 MTPA Electric Arc Furnace in Ludhiana expected by FY27. The company is committed to Net Zero emissions by 2045, backed by major EAF projects in the UK and Netherlands with substantial government support. Digital initiatives and a Rs 11,500 Cr cost transformation program are actively underway.

Recent developments include the successful rollout of galvanised coils from the new Kalinganagar CGL-1 and the commissioning of a 0.5 MTPA specialty steel combi mill. The UK's EAF project had its groundbreaking in July, and the Netherlands secured a decarbonization agreement. Consolidated net debt stood at Rs 87,040 Cr. Management emphasizes sustainable value creation, robust expansion, and rigorous cost optimization.
