Singer India reported strong Q2 FY25-26 performance for its sewing machine business, with revenue up 45% and overall company revenue growing 30%. PBT surged nearly threefold, from 1.67 Cr to 5.22 Cr. The appliances segment faced headwinds, with revenue declining 17%. A key highlight is securing a license to locally manufacture previously imported ZigZag sewing machines, a move reinforcing 'Make in India' efforts and promising affordability and export potential. The Board approved a preferential issue of 4.5 Cr to VSM, a global brand owner entity, to fund manufacturing expansion. Cash from operations for H1 was 21 Cr.
