Organic Recycling Systems (ORSL), in collaboration with IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur, has secured a DBT–BIRAC research grant to develop India's first pilot-scale BIO-Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) platform. This significant project aims to transform CO₂ from Compressed Biogas (CBG) plants into high-value products like bio-alcohols and specialty chemicals, opening new revenue streams. ORSL is the first Indian company to receive this specific grant, reinforcing its role in advancing indigenous CCU technologies and supporting India's net-zero goals. The project, with a total cost of INR 1.87 Cr, will be implemented over 24 months at ORSL’s Navi Mumbai centre.
