Tata Steel's Board approved acquiring 50.01% of Thriveni Pellets for up to ₹636 Cr to secure iron ore pellet supply, despite the target company's FY25 loss of ₹45.14 Cr. The Board affirmed a major India growth strategy, greenlighting 4.8 MTPA expansion at NINL, 2.5 MT for flat products at Meramandali, and a 0.7 MTPA auto-focused galvanizing line at Tarapur. A new MoU with Lloyd Metals targets iron ore mining & a 6 MT greenfield steel plant. Plans for a 1 MTPA low-carbon HIsarna technology plant also progress. Management projects strong strategic expansion and sustainability.
