The Indian Link Chain Manufacturers Limited has launched India's first fully indigenous Fingerprint Sensor Module, a key achievement for national self-reliance under the Make in India initiative. The company acquired full IP rights and collaborates with a Taiwanese partner for wafer support and packaging, enabling end-to-end semiconductor solutions from India. This product enters an Indian market valued at USD 145.1 million in 2024, projected to grow to USD 383 million by 2033. To reflect its new focus on semiconductor design, the company is proposing a name change to RRP Electronics India Limited, subject to shareholder approval.
