HCLTech's software arm, HCLSoftware, is set to acquire Jaspersoft, a business unit from Cloud Software Group, for US$240 million (approx. ₹1,992 Cr). This strategic move will boost HCLSoftware's Data & AI division (Actian) by adding embedded analytics and pixel-perfect reporting capabilities. The acquisition aims to accelerate customers' Agentic Business Intelligence roadmaps, enhance end-to-end data management, and expand reach to a global developer community. Jaspersoft is known for its comprehensive BI and reporting platform, favored by regulated industries. The deal strengthens HCLTech's offering in AI-powered analytics and is expected to close within six months, subject to necessary regulatory approvals.
