Central Bank of India delivered robust Q3 FY26 results, with Net Profit soaring 31.70% YoY to ₹1263 Cr. For the nine months, profit increased 32.41% to ₹3644 Cr. Total Business expanded 15.77% to ₹774106 Cr, fueled by strong 19.48% growth in Gross Advances to ₹323531 Cr. Asset quality saw significant improvement, with Gross NPA % down to 2.70% and Net NPA % at 0.45%. While Net Interest Income saw a slight dip, Non-Interest Income surged 57.45% YoY.
Key strategies include building a granular CASA book via initiatives like 'Agaaz – CASA 360°' and expanding MSME & Agri credit through cluster-based lending and Fintech partnerships. The bank is aggressively adopting digital with new virtual debit cards, a Digital Lending Platform, and specialized NRI desks. Notably, it also advanced ESG goals, mobilizing ₹406.23 Cr in Cent Green Deposits.
ROE improved to 14.47%, ROA to 1.01%, and EPS hit ₹1.39 for the quarter. Provision Coverage Ratio remains strong at 96.69%, with Credit Cost and Slippage Ratio decreasing. Management emphasizes continued digital transformation, optimizing the cost-to-income ratio, and enhancing credit delivery to sustain asset quality and meet ROA targets.
