Biocon Limited — JV/Acquisition, 21-01-2026: Acquisition

Biocon has completed the acquisition of the remaining equity shares of its unlisted material subsidiary, Biocon Biologics Limited (BBL), from Mylan Inc. This final tranche involved 7,18,34,691 shares for USD 200 million (20 Cr USD). This follows an earlier acquisition of USD 400 million (40 Cr USD) from Mylan. The total deal size for acquiring Mylan's stake stands at USD 600 million (60 Cr USD). Post-acquisition, Biocon now holds approximately 98% of BBL, significantly consolidating its control over this key biologics arm. This move strengthens Biocon's strategic positioning.
