Vedanta's demerger scheme has received NCLT sanction, clearing path for separating businesses. Despite MoPNG's ~INR 16,700 Cr claims, VEDL will provide a corporate guarantee for its Oil & Gas unit. This will boost the unit’s net worth from negative INR 172 Cr to over INR 13,507 Cr.
