JSW Energy delivered strong Q3 FY26 results. Net generation surged 65% YoY to 11.1 BU, driven by 96% growth in renewables and 55% in thermal, primarily from acquired assets like Mahanadi thermal and O2 portfolio. Total revenue climbed 61% YoY to ₹4,255 Cr, while EBITDA jumped 98% to ₹2,202 Cr. Profit after tax (PAT) soared 150% to ₹420 Cr, with diluted EPS rising to ₹2.41.
The company is rapidly expanding, adding 125 MW organic renewable capacity and reaching 13.3 GW installed capacity. It secured a ₹3,000 Cr preferential equity issue to fund growth. JSW Energy targets 30 GW generation and 40 GWh energy storage by 2030, with 29.6 GWh already locked in. Recent developments include commissioning India's largest Green Hydrogen plant and signing a 1,600 MW PPA for a West Bengal thermal project, increasing its capacity at the site to 3,200 MW. Another 25-year PPA for 400 MW from the Utkal plant was secured. Management highlighted a healthy balance sheet (Net Debt to Equity at 2.2x) for aggressive growth, reiterating commitment to carbon neutrality by 2050 and having renewables comprise two-thirds of its total capacity.
