Shyam Metalics' consolidated financial results for Q3 FY26 show revenue from operations jumped 34.6% YoY to ₹4,467.4 Cr, driven by its steel and allied products segment. Net profit for owners, however, remained flat YoY at ₹197.2 Cr, declining 24.7% QoQ. This profit stagnation stemmed from a sharp 42.5% rise in material costs and a 36.1% increase in other expenses, significantly outpacing revenue growth and squeezing margins.
The company also approved liquidating a non-operational international subsidiary to cut costs and outlined a substantial ₹6,660 Cr capex for future projects and capacity expansions.
*Takeaway: Strong top-line growth met with intense cost pressures, while strategic investments set the stage for future expansion.*
