Spandana Sphoorty Financial showed a strong operational comeback in Q3 FY26. X-bucket collection efficiency hit an impressive 99.5% by Dec-25, with 87% of branches performing above 99%. AUM (pre-write-off) saw a healthy 1.8% QoQ growth to ₹4,162 Cr. GNPA and NNPA sharply improved to 2.6% and 0.5% respectively from 4.97% and 0.97% QoQ.
Disbursements surged 27% QoQ to ₹1,188 Cr. New loans originated in FY26 now form 58% of MFI AUM, boasting a stellar 99.8% Net Collection Efficiency. Intensified recovery efforts are paying off, with Q3 recoveries at ₹65 Cr (+35% QoQ). The team of recovery associates is being scaled up to 1500.
Mr. Venkatesh Krishnan was appointed as the new MD & CEO in November 2025. Strategic initiatives include branch rationalization (137 merged/closed in 9M FY26) to boost efficiency and evaluating the merger of Criss Financial Ltd to diversify assets and optimize capital.
Net Interest Margin (NIM) expanded to 11.1% from 8.4% QoQ. The company maintains robust liquidity of ₹1,626 Cr and a strong CRAR of 40.3%. Impairment on financial instruments significantly reduced to ₹58 Cr from ₹287 Cr QoQ. PPOP (Pre-Provision Operating Profit) turned positive at ₹8 Cr in Q3FY26, a notable improvement from a negative ₹40 Cr QoQ.
Management is focused on customer acquisition, meeting existing customer needs, localized expansion strategies, and ongoing operational efficiency drives.
