Chola Investment reported robust Q3 FY26 performance. Assets Under Management (AUM) surged 21% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹2.10 Lakh Cr. Disbursements grew 16% YoY to ₹29,962 Cr for the quarter. Profit Before Tax (PBT) increased 18% to ₹1,733 Cr, while Profit After Tax (PAT) climbed 19% to ₹1,288 Cr. Return on Equity stood at 19.1%.
Vehicle Finance and MSME segments were strong performers, with MSME PBT up 48%. However, Net Credit Losses increased across segments, and Gross Non-Performing Assets (GNPA) rose to 4.63% (compared to 4.00% last year). PBT for the Consumer Ecosystem (CSEL, Home Loans, Gold) declined 3%.
Growth is driven by diversified product offerings and deep penetration into Tier 3-6 towns. Digital initiatives like the Chola One super-app, GaadiBazaar for used vehicles, and advanced analytics are key to enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency. The company is strategically focused on maintaining portfolio quality amidst expansion.
Chola continues to expand its physical footprint with 1,757 branches and recently launched its Gold loan business. Management anticipates positive sector trends for vehicle finance, backed by infrastructure and rural demand. Chola maintains strong capital adequacy with a CAR of 19.16% and Tier I of 14.21%.
