International Gemmological Institute (IGI India), through its US subsidiary, has acquired 100% of AGL Holdco Inc., which owns American Gemological Laboratories (AGL). The deal is valued at USD 13.2 million cash. AGL, a pioneer in colored gemstone analysis with FY2024 turnover of USD 3.85 million, significantly strengthens IGI's position. This strategic acquisition expands IGI's global footprint, diversifies revenue into the fast-growing colored gemstone market, and integrates AGL's scientific expertise with IGI's global scale, positioning the combined entity as a leader in gem and jewelry certification.
