Hindalco's Q3 FY26 consolidated revenue rose 14% to ₹66,521 Cr, with EBITDA up 6%. PAT fell due to exceptional items, but adjusted for Oswego plant fires, it grew 8% to ₹4,051 Cr. India businesses shone with 21% revenue growth (₹29,858 Cr) and 24% PAT increase (₹3,581 Cr). Aluminium Upstream EBITDA surged 14%, Downstream jumped 55% on better product mix. Novelis revenue dipped 9%, but underlying EBITDA per tonne remained strong at ~$500, excluding impacts. Consolidated Net Debt to EBITDA rose to 1.73x.
Growth strategy focuses on circularity at Novelis (75% recycled content target, lower emissions by 2030) and a 4x EBITDA target for India by FY30. Key projects include Novelis's Bay Minnette expansion (H2 CY26 commissioning, Cold Mill Mar 2026) and India's Aditya Smelter expansion to 1.71 MT by FY29, alongside new captive coal mines & commissioning of copper/aluminium downstream projects. Management sees strong long-term EBITDA for Novelis, backed by cost savings & new capacity. India businesses continue optimizing costs & expanding.
