MOIL, India's top manganese ore producer, reported solid FY25 performance. Production grew to 1.80 Million Tonnes and sales to 1.59 Million Tonnes. Revenue from operations hit 1585 Cr, with Profit After Tax (PAT) at 381.64 Cr and EPS at Rs. 18.76. EBITDA margin also improved to 37.66%. However, 9M FY26 saw a dip in revenue to 1056 Cr and PAT to 174.87 Cr compared to the previous year's period, despite a rise in production.
To drive future growth, MOIL aims for 3.5 Million Tonnes of manganese ore production by 2030, targeting 32% market share. Key strategies include expanding beneficiation for low-grade ore, briquetting fines for better realization, and exploring overseas markets. They're also focusing on higher exploration (added 16.07 Million Tonnes resources in FY25), new shaft sinking projects, and expanding into new states like Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. MOIL declared two interim dividends for FY26. Management is committed to capacity enhancement, with FY25 Capex exceeding PAT, and strong future Capex plans.
