Tata Steel is strengthening its portfolio with strategic moves. The company is taking full control of Medica TS Hospital, acquiring the remaining 49% equity and 31.85% preference shares for ₹1.49 Cr. This makes the hospital a wholly-owned subsidiary, improving healthcare access for employees and the Kalinganagar community. Additionally, Tata Steel is amalgamating its wholly-owned subsidiary, Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited, into the parent company. This internal merger will simplify the corporate structure, enhance operational efficiency, and improve raw material security by consolidating long product assets.
