NTPC Limited — JV/Acquisition, 28-03-2026: Acquisition

NTPC has greenlit an additional equity commitment of Rs 3,173.67 Crore in its 50:50 joint venture, Meja Urja Nigam Private Limited (MUNPL). This investment, increasing NTPC's total commitment to Rs 5,000 Crore, is specifically for the expansion of the Meja Super Thermal Power Project with a new Stage-II (3x800 MW). This strategic move will significantly boost NTPC's power generation capacity through its existing asset, strengthening its market position. NTPC will maintain its 50% stake in the JV.
