NTPC's board approved Rs 5,821.90 Cr for a 4.70 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). Also, Rs 3,173.67 Cr additional equity committed to Meja Urja Nigam JV for its 2,400 MW Stage-II thermal power project, bringing total commitment to Rs 5,000 Cr.
