GMR Power and Urban Infra Limited — JV/Acquisition, 30-03-2026: Acquisition

GMR Power & Urban Infra (GMRP&UI), through its subsidiary GMR Energy, has acquired an additional 2.37% stake in GMR Kamalanga Energy Limited (GKEL) for Rs. 60 Cr. This strategic move consolidates GMRP&UI's ownership in GKEL to nearly 100%, granting improved strategic control. GKEL operates a 1050 MW coal-based power plant, with a FY25 turnover of Rs. 3017 Cr. This acquisition streamlines operations and strengthens GMRP&UI's presence in the power generation sector.
