Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) has completed its committed investment in Oyster Green Hybrid One Private Limited by acquiring an additional 4.60% equity stake for ₹23.41 crore. This finalizes JSL's total committed investment of ₹132 crore in Oyster Green. This SPV is developing a 282 MW wind-solar hybrid project, crucial for meeting JSL's plant power requirements. The project aims to generate ~700 million units annually for captive consumption, significantly contributing to JSL's net zero carbon emission goal by abating ~6.5 lakh metric tonnes of carbon emissions per year. This move strengthens JSL's renewable energy strategy.
