Sunita Tools Limited's US subsidiary, Sunita Defence Inc, has acquired a 51% controlling stake in New Mold Innovations LLC, a US-based specialty grease and mold manufacturing company. This acquisition, costing approximately INR 3.98 Cr, aims to expand Sunita Tools' manufacturing footprint in the United States. It provides access to an established US customer base in Aerospace, Automation, Capital Goods, and Engineering sectors, enhancing the company's Defence and Aerospace product portfolio. New Mold Innovations has an annual capacity of 0.47 Cr grease cartridges, with a potential annual revenue capacity of USD 1.5 Cr, creating a platform for North American growth.
