South Indian Bank reported its highest-ever FY26 net profit of ₹1,455 Cr (+12% YoY), with Q4 net profit at ₹408 Cr. Total deposits grew 15% to ₹1,23,346 Cr, and gross advances rose 14.5% to ₹1,00,274 Cr (15.8% excluding technical write-off). Asset quality showed dramatic improvement: GNPA at 1.43%, NNPA at 0.29%, and PCR ex-write-off at 79.87%. Q4 NIM was 2.95%. Management targets 15-16% loan growth for FY27, driven by a strategic shift to higher-yielding Retail and MSME loans, aiming for positive operating leverage. Credit costs are expected to gradually rise from current lows. The board is actively engaged in the MD & CEO succession process.
